Firewalk Cymru Retreat at Larkhill Tipis and Yurts: The Maiden of the Dawn — Rite of Renewal Retreat A Journey of Transformation.
We are very excited to announce a partnership with Firewalk Cymru! We are hosting Firewalk Cymru’s first ever retreat in April 2026! The retreat will be an immersive experience that invites participants to step beyond fear, rediscover inner strength, and embrace the power of community in one of the most enchanting eco-retreat settings in the UK.
A Setting Rooted in Nature
Larkhill Tipis and Yurts, located near the Teifi Valley, is an award-winning eco-retreat surrounded by woodland and meadows. The site is entirely off-grid, powered by renewable energy, and designed to harmonize with the natural environment. Guests stay in beautifully crafted tipis and yurts, each individually styled and warmed by wood-burning stoves. The atmosphere is serene and grounding, making it the perfect backdrop for introspection and transformation.
The Firewalk Experience
At the heart of the retreat lies the firewalk — an ancient practice found in cultures across the world, symbolizing courage, trust, and renewal. Guided by experienced facilitators from Firewalk Cymru, participants prepare through a series of workshops and mindfulness exercises that focus on mindset, intention, and energy.
The firewalk itself becomes a powerful metaphor for overcoming fear and stepping into personal empowerment. Walking barefoot across hot embers is not about physical endurance but about mental clarity and belief. Many describe the experience as life-changing — a moment of pure presence and liberation.
Workshops and Activities
Held over the weekend of 17–19 April 2026 aligned with the new moon &and a time for new beginnings. The Maiden of the Dawn — Rite of Renewal Retreat is a deeply transformative 3-day immersion combining: Beyond the firewalk, the retreat includes and a range of holistic activities designed to nurture body, mind, and spirit. These may include:
Sustainable Living and Connection
We believe Larkhill’s commitment to sustainability adds depth to the retreat experience. Guests are encouraged to reconnect with the rhythms of nature — cooking over open fires, stargazing under clear skies, and waking to the sounds of birdsong. The site’s eco-friendly ethos reminds participants of the importance of balance.
Community and Transformation
One of the most profound aspects of the Firewalk Cymru Retreat is the sense of community that emerges. Strangers arrive with different stories and challenges, yet leave as part of a shared journey. The combination of ritual, reflection, and nature creates a space where transformation feels both personal and collective.
A Retreat for the Soul
The Firewalk Cymru Retreat at Larkhill Tipis and Yurts is more than an event — it is an invitation to reconnect with inner strength, release limitations, and rediscover the magic of being alive. Whether seeking clarity, confidence,, or simply a deeper connection to self and nature, this retreat offers a powerful path toward renewal.
For those ready to walk through fire — literally and metaphorically — Larkhill provides the perfect sanctuary to begin that journey.
