In order to minimise any risk of spreading Covid 19 we are limiting the number of people here at any one time and have therefore reduced our availability. Last year we had just two open whilst we were out of lockdown but for us to financially survive this pandemic we will in 2021 be increasing this to four glamping accommodations. It has to be said social distancing isn’t going to be a problem here with 20 acres of grounds and a strict cleaning protocol in place too - you can rest assured that all precautions are in place.
Generally, when customers arrive, we give you a guided tour of the accommodation, showing you how the wood burning stove works etc and taking you around the facilities. This will still happen - with social distancing. So we shall avoid taking you into the accommodation, but will talk you through how to use the woodburning stove, etc from the doorway. There is a handbook which runs through everything you need to know. Please rest assured that we will always be on hand and if there are any queries at all we will be here to help you.
Soap and paper hand towels will be provided in the toilets, and we will supply you with your own washing up bowl, tea towels, dish cloths, washing up liquid etc. We have two toilets and two showers - so you will be designated a toilet and shower when you arrive. The maximum number for sharing will therefore be two families/couples.
The one communal area, the log cabin, is the central hub for the campsite. We would ask you to use the hand sanitiser when you enter and to keep the usage of the facilities in here to a minimum. Disinfectant wipes will be available and we would ask that you use these to wipe down all surfaces touched.
With regards to cleaning, we will on a daily basis ensure that the log cabin, toilets and showers are thoroughly cleaned and disinfected, paying particular attention to ‘touch areas’ i.e. door handles, etc.
We would ask all customers, if at all possible, to bring their own bedding. This would include: pillows/pillow cases, sheets and duvets. If this is not feasible (not enough room in the car) then we will supply you with these (there is an extra charge of £15 per tent per stay) but would ask you to strip the beds (including pillow protectors) and place all linen in a bag (which will be supplied) prior to your departure. We would also ask if you can bring your own towels for the shower. If you require bedding please let us know before your arrival.
If you, or any member of your party, have felt unwell up to seven days prior to your arrival please get in touch before you leave home - so ensuring that you are healthy before you come. If any member of your group becomes symptomatic whilst staying with us you should advise us immediately and the required protocol will be put in place. Also if you, or any member of your group, are unwell up to two weeks after your stay please let us know so that contact tracing is possible.
In short, we will do all we possibly can to ensure that your holiday is safe (and that we ourselves remain safe!).
We look forward to welcoming you to Larkhill Tipis and Yurts!!!!!
