Foodies visiting West Wales!

Depending on what you're looking for there is a pallet for everyone in West Wales. With hosting up to 5 families/ groups or couples at a time we are frequently asked where the best places to eat are, and our immediate answer is always this....

How far do you want to travel?

A rural location!

Yes, our glamping spot is in a pretty rural location so if you want to eat out you will either need a taxi budget or have your own transport. Our own 'next-door' neighbours are around 1/4 of a mile away, the nearest main road is a mile away and the nearest shop is miles away, as is the nearest local pub.... which is a bit of a long walk home after a few! Despite our rural location, here in West Wales there are some lovely places to enjoy a great supper! Here are our top recommendations in distance order from Larkhill!

Veganishmum's !

 Despite how rurual our Tipi and Yurt glamping site is, we have a  pretty unique 'pop-up' restaurant around a mile and a half from us! In the small hamlet of Penboyr a lovely lady has created "Veganish Mums" in her own back garden! With tasty vegetatrian and vegan options, Jayne (the Veganish Mum!) offers a set menu on certain nights on the month (booking's via her Facebook Page). The dishes are always absolutley stunning! And don't even get me started on her cakes and desserts! A three course meal will only set you back £12 PP and you're welcome to bring your own drinks as she doesn't have a licence to sell alcohol.

 Riverside Cafe

Situated in the small historic town of Newcastle Emlyn just 7 miles away from our Tipi and Yurt holiday site, another top Veggie eatery is the Riverside Cafe. With salads, 'Buddha Bowls' and the most gorgeous flapjacks I have ever tasted you will leave Riverside feeling nourished and relaxed. The staff are super friendly and a lazy walk around the town and castle afterwards are highly recommended. 

The Nag's Head

Although there are many pub's nearer to us that serve Bar Meals, we feel that The Nags Head provides the best cosy welsh-pub atmosphere with very top quality meals! The Sunday lunch here is just wonderfull and they have a large array of the usual (and a few unusual) meals of a high quality. With outside dinning available on a warm summer's evebing thia is a gorgeous spot in West Wales and right on the Pembrokshire/ Carmarthenshire and Ceredigion border!

The Warren

If locally grown, organic and wholesome food sound like a great place to start then The Warren must be the best in West Wales. Their creative and delicious meals are of a very high quality and you will be amazed at the presentation. Personally I like to keep the Warren for special occasions as their food is that good, but if your in Carmarthen they are not to be missed. Open for brekkie and lunch as well there really is no excuse not to visit this unique establishment, around a 12 mile drive from our West Wales glamping site. 

Sloppy Joe's

Initially a seriously indulgent street food vendors, the lovely couple who created Sloppy Joe's now have a restaurant in Carmarthen. If you like cheese then this is the place for you! Incredible fries, incredible burgers with gooey wraps and toasties. If you can possibly fit another bite in they have a great selection of cakes and brownies and an amazing Ice Cream Selection for Sundaes! The kids will love it here and the big ones will too!
