Recently I had the pleasure of taking my children paddle boarding on the tranquil lake and it was an experience we won't forget in a hurry. 

Perfect Family Fun

As a family, we're always on the lookout for activities that are both fun and engaging for everyone. On a recent half term we noticed Llandysul Paddlers were holding an open lake session where kids (and grown ups) get to have a go at lots of different water activities for a few hours - all for £10!

Our Paddle Boarding Experience

Arriving at Llandysul Paddlers we were greeted by the friendly staff who made us feel right at home. They provided all the necessary equipment and a brief safety tutorial, ensuring we felt confident before hitting the water. We were all so excited as we zipped up our life jackets and carried our boards to the lake.

The lake was so much bigger than we expected and we couldn’t believe we had it all to ourselves (apparently they had been busier the previous day). There were lots of activities to choose from, canoes, kayaks and two person kayaks, but we couldn’t wait to give paddle boarding a go! We stayed on our knees for a bit until we got a feel for the paddle boards but it wasn’t long before we were racing each other across the lake. Inevitably we all got a bit too confident and started challenging each other to some risky moves. I would love to say we all stayed dry - but nope… I was the first to go in after attempting the tree pose. My youngest got the lifeguard laughing while doing a roly poly on the board!
